health benefits of mulleinThe Mulleins (Verbascum gen.), or velvet plant, flannel flower, etc., is a group of perennial herbs and shrubs native to South America and the Mediterranean region. The upper part of the herb is formed by a dozen of light yellow flowers which blossom throughout the summer, making this season the best for mullein harvesting. It is interesting that the Mulleins grow in their natural habitat in Europe and Russia, but in the Americas,  Hawaii and Australia they are mostly cultivated in special fields and farms. (more…)
